Public APIs

A community-maintained API directory for finding data and services to use in prototypes, applications, and integrations.

OVERVIEW

What is Public APIs?

Public APIs helps developers discover external data and services before building an integration. The GitHub repository groups APIs by topic and shows a short description, authentication requirements, HTTPS support, and CORS availability for each entry. Browse categories such as weather, finance, geocoding, development, and machine learning, then follow an entry to its provider documentation. The current README also has an MCP server section with authentication, transport, and installation links. These can help builders find services that expose tools to compatible AI clients. Start with a category that matches your product, shortlist suitable services, and check the provider’s current documentation before integrating. This is a discovery directory: it does not host the listed APIs or execute tasks on your behalf. Individual providers control access, quotas, pricing, and service availability.
