What Stainless does
Stainless built tools that generate language-specific SDKs, command-line interfaces, and MCP servers from API specifications. Founded in 2022, its work focused on developer interfaces and integrations between APIs and external software. In May 2026, Stainless announced it was joining Anthropic's Claude Platform team and winding down its hosted products, including the SDK generator, with new signups, projects, and SDKs no longer available.
